Ray Haynes is a former California State Senator, attorney, and conservative policy leader dedicated to advancing thoughtful discussion on the future of conservatism, constitutional government, and public policy. 

First elected to the California State Assembly in 1992, Haynes later served in the California State Senate from 1994 to 2002, including as Senate Republican Whip and Chairman of the Senate Constitutional Amendments Committee. In 2000, he served as National Chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). He returned to the Assembly in 2002, serving as Assistant Republican Leader. Haynes is also a graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

Through his writing, Haynes seeks to challenge and contribute to conservative thought by offering principled analysis, historical perspective, and honest commentary on the political and cultural issues shaping America today.
